RM - Right Place, Wrong Person
This doesn't automatically make them bad or make me incompetent, but it does put an invisible wall between my field of vision and what's going on out there. And also because albums like RM’s almost never reach the Western market. And I am ready to accept such albums with open arms.
Little Simz on a BTS member's album? Sure, I'll listen. Of course, in many ways this is an album by an artist who seems to be starting his independent career, who dived into the world of Western R&B and hip-hop and was inspired by everyone at once, but this shows RM’s sporting interest and desire to try, create, sometimes miss, but keep creating. Ambitiousness is always commendable. It’s hard to call this a solid record with a single idea, but if we consider it as a desire to break out of standardization and a bunch of rules of the Korean market, then you can see burning eyes and a strong desire to learn and do more. And if it turns out like this at the initial stages, who knows what interesting things this guy will pick up by the third album.
