Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk

It's been a long time since I've listened to an album that was so consistent in its presentation.

From the first notes of the softmore of the American duo Magdalena Bay, you are immersed in a world that never loses its integrity and dynamics for a second. You spend all 53 minutes on one continuous wave, which never thinks of slowing down in tempo or quality for a second.

"Imaginal Disk" sends you to an amazing space where the imaginary past and future merge into a single unique sound, combining elements of neo-psychedelia, progressive pop, alternative, synth-pop and disco. This is an atmosphere that makes you dance, jump, and with a certain amount of imagination - even fly. Its unique lightness and fullness only confirms the genius of the production and the "I" invested in the work.

The vocals on the album initially create tension and anticipation of something wild or too experimental, but it is a clever hook that hooks you, not allowing to turn away or lose your attention while listening. Every detail is carefully considered, and this makes listening a complete experience, turning it into a personal, intimate journey with the album.

This is an artistic project unlike any other. You will easily recognize it and will always remember it, and in today's reality, this is an unattainable luxury.
